This notice covers the refuneral.com website and the data it collects, under articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). The Refuneral software, which funeral homes use to run their work, has its own data processing agreement, signed with each customer.
Data controller
Avrean S.r.l., which develops Refuneral under the Redergo brand. Registered office: Via Cavour 11, 10123 Turin, Italy. VAT number IT12358660012.
For any question about your data, write to [email protected]. No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed.
What we collect
When you book a demo. First name, last name, company, city, country, role, phone, email, number of locations, preference between an on-site or online demo and an optional message. With the request we also record the language, the page you sent it from and any campaign parameters you arrived with (UTM).
When you browse. The server hosting the site and the network protecting it (Cloudflare) record technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time. They are needed to run the site, defend it from abuse and find faults. The IP address is also used to limit repeated form submissions: this check stays in memory for a few minutes and is not stored.
With your consent. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity collect data on how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks, device type and approximate area. The details are in the cookie policy, linked at the bottom of every page.
Why, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Getting back to you and arranging the demo you asked for | Pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6.1.b) |
| Sending you a confirmation of your request | Pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6.1.b) |
| Protecting the form from spam and automated submissions | Legitimate interest in the site’s security (art. 6.1.f) |
| Running and protecting the site with technical browsing data | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) |
| Statistics on how the site is used | Consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw any time |
| Meeting legal obligations and requests from authorities | Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c) |
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we make no automated decisions about you. Beyond the demo you asked for, we only contact you for other commercial reasons if you ask us to.
Who processes data on our behalf
Providers that help us run the site and handle requests, as data processors (art. 28 GDPR):
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): hosts the site on servers in the European Union.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): delivers and protects the site and checks that the form is sent by a person (Turnstile).
- Mailjet SAS (France): sends the confirmation email to you and the request notice to our team.
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) for Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Ireland) for Clarity: only if you accept statistics cookies.
Demo requests also reach the internal system we use to organise our work and the sales team’s mailbox. Only the people at Avrean S.r.l. who handle them can see them.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare, Google and Microsoft belong to groups based in the United States. If data leaves the European Union, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for companies in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, where that does not apply, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
For how long
- Demo requests: as long as needed to handle them and up to 24 months from the last contact, if you do not become a customer. If you do, the data moves to the contract and follows its terms, including those required by tax law.
- Confirmation and notice emails: in the team’s mailbox, for the same time as the request.
- Technical browsing data: for the time set by the infrastructure providers, usually a few days; longer only if needed to investigate abuse.
- Statistics: at most 14 months, according to the Google Analytics and Clarity settings.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access your data, correct or erase it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format (portability) and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent to statistics cookies from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page: withdrawing does not affect processing already carried out.
To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]: we reply within one month. If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the country where you live.
Changes
We update this notice when the site or its providers change. The date of the last update is shown on this page.
